My Wolf and I

by Christel Veraart

/

lyrics

I am so sleepy, I can’t wake up
I dreamt about a wolf pup
His eyes were white, his fur so soft
He slept up in my loft

I went up there and I took a peek
And touched his fur with my very soft cheek
Cheek to cheek we cuddled a bit
He confessed he ate my base ball mitt

In my dreams we traveled far
inside an enormous jar
Surrounded by my favorite ship
We went on a giant pleasure trip

When its snowy white sails would clip
It sounded like crushing a big, big chip
The waves so high I held my breath
My wolf and I were scared to death

The clouds looked empty and had nasty smiles
I wished we could hide away at western isles
Where the winds are calm and the clouds are at peace
So all of our fears could cease
